George Walter Stewart ---------------- Born -- St. Louis, Missouri February 22, 1876 Died -- Iowa City, Iowa August 16, 1956 I last saw him on about the 5th of August at which time he described his plans for the 1957 Summer colloquium of College Physicists. He had decided to not undertake teaching the large "Core Course" in Physical Science next fall but asked to teach one section of the Engineering Physics course. I altered the course schedule accordingly.
