Raymond Missert As of December 1956 25 - C Kenville Road Buffalo 15, N.Y. ------------------------ In New York Times for 16 December 1956 an article in "Missiles and Rockets" was quoted to the effect that the Army Ordnance's trial rocket (3 stage) (80 feet long) Jupiter C had been fired after dark on September 20 from Patrick Air Force Base, Cape Canaveral, Florida and had reached an altitude of 650 miles and traveled to a range of 3300 miles (at a rate of 15,000 miles/hour), landing some 1400 miles west of Ascension Island -------------------------
