(e) Getting regular daily record -- ~100 gamma greater field at noon than midnight. Previous day had a depression of ~100 gamma during the night. ------- I called Fincher. He checked and found out that a part of the shipment had been repacked in San Francisco under a new B/L number but this equipment had also been loaded on the S.S. Luckenbach and should therefore also be in Guam. He had asked his shipping people to send a priority dispatch to Lt. Commander Daubin in Guam. ( B/L 14519 ) I also sent a commercial cable to same effect, and decided to do nothing about sending out another receiver for the following reasons:
