12/13/1957 Notes in conversation with George Ludwig on 12/7 : 1) State University of Iowa magnetic tape recorder appears to work properly (aside from a few bugs whose elimination is already clearly visualized) at spin rates up to 1000 - 1200 r.p.m. (~ 720 r.p.m. expected ) when mounted on center. 2) Relays do not work off-center but are being relocated "on-center" in a revised arrangement. 3) Solar batteries are not being used.
