Van Allen brings up the Army Ballistic Missile Agency (Ernst Stuhlinger) proposition for Suomi, Stroud, RIAS - Bartol, - Friedman, S. U. I combination for about October 1958. 85 lbs. 55 degree orbit. I will go to Huntsville on Thurs. 13 March for conference on same. Some points: (1) Very great complexity of combining all the above in one payload. Suomi Stroud.
