20 May 1958 Dean Streit called me over to advise as follows: 1) Math. department has decided to seek a new Head 2) If I still agree (as I did several years ago) that Astronomy might well be incorporated into the physics dept (Dept of Physics and Astronomy), he would like to make this change - i.e transfer astronomy to Physics (from Math Dept)
