On the basis of the above, the claim to be able to detect (10 exponent -5) gauss seems conceivable. Though winding of the coil appears to be difficult but not impossible operation! Stray fields from apparatus -- ? -- Whole apparatus is rotating as a unit! Possibility of using permalloy core? Would appear to be a possibility for greatly augmenting the inidividual E.M.F. for weak fields -- Perhaps by the order of 1000 fold ! - i.e. millivolts rather than μvs.
