11/23/1958 A "wild" idea recently occurred to me: viz. storage of deuterium or mixture of deuterium and tritium ions in the outer reaches of the earth's magnetic field (in the same manner as our trapped radiation) so that thermonuclear reactions would occur: D + D [right arrow] [unspecified products] +Q[energy] D + T [right arrow] [unspecified products]+ Q[energy] as in Project Sherwood.
