On Friday evening the 15th of May, Abbie and I and Jan and Maurice drove to Mt. Pleasant and joined George and Wyn and Mother Van Allen in celebrating her 75th birthday. Had dinner at Harlan Hotel and returned to George's. Mother quite well and in good spirits. Uses a cane to steady her in walking. Still arises at 5 A.M. !
