Ellis, passed his Ph.D. exam today Topic: "Phenomena Related to the Anomalous Dielectric Constant of Quartz" Committee: Dresden, Chairman Baenziger Rohrlich Boshkin O'Brien Committee felt quite uneasy about the validity of Jason's anomalous effect but finally, after extended discussion, agreed in effect to accept the judgement of his advisor Professor E.P.T. Tyndall (since retired and not present for exam).
