Page Four -- Science Fiction Collector -- LONG DISTANCE TED CARNELL Apologies for long absence. Have a good vacation? So did I? Apologies also for not slipped you dope on FANTASY, but, have a heart, I thought NOVAE TERRAE deserved a scoop there. Name was changed from ASTONISHING TALES OF SCIENCE FICTION (what a mouthfull) just before press. Today (August 30th) I visited Editor Sprigg, but he had no definite news re future issues. Conflicting rumors seep thru however, From one British author news seem concrete further issues will come--but from adroit questioning at Newnes Sales Dept., mag doesn't appear to have sold very well. So to something more substantial -- TALES OF WONDER #4. Publication September 13. Editor Gillings sans family visiting here yesterday spilled line-up and future plans. Softly.....he's muttering words resembling "bi-monthly" but, although he may life the thought, there are many obstacles to overcome before that stage is reached. Too many. Cover by Roberts again, from John Edwards "The Menace from Space," depicts green cloud descending on city. My opinion the best cover to date. Turner again does some interiors.
