Fort Madison, Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Fort Madison, Iowa 32627 720 - 7th Street January 6, 1971 Mr. William Morris Housing Director 1790 Broadway New York, New York 10019 Dear Mr. Morris; This is a continuance of our correspondence, last year, regarding the holding of meetings on Low-income, government sponsored Housing, here in the city of Fort Madison, Iowa. If it is at all possible, I would like to know if you could give us a date, preferably, a Saturday or a Sunday, from the 2nd week in February, to the third week in April. (any dates in that time period). The fact that this is being planned, has been advertised widely. Also, the Highway project which started the 'whole thing', has been postponed until 1976, bu the need for such a meeting, is still great, and urgent. Also, I would like to get, as soon as possible, at least 25 copies of the available literature on Home Ownership by Low-income families. Great interest has been expressed throughout the County in such a program. Sincerely, [actual signature] (Miss) Virginia Harper Branch Administrative Secretary
