718 - 7th Street February 25, 1981 Dear Mary, Enclosed, is the copy of the Bill which I erroneously referred to as HF 164,...instead of SF 164. (Please consider the source) Rec'd the announcement of the April 4, meeting from the Iowa City Branch, and must say that I was not aware of the fact that the monies that were raised, last ear for the Legal Defense Fund. Does that mean it is for use by our legal persons here in the State,...? Anyhow, I think we should have state fund raising events, and I think they should take place all around the state. If the April 4, is for the use of the persons whom we have to call on, I am really for encouraging everyone I can to attend. Somehow, last year I didn't get the feeling. It was my impression that it was a fund-raiser for the Iowa City Branch. Take care, I'll be in touch with you in the very near future. Love, Virginia
