FUNTASY Page 15 AT THE WORLD SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION --??? -------------------------------------------------------- by Walter Sullivan My mind dwelled on the enjoyable time I would have at the World Science-Fiction Convention. As I rushed madly into the great brightly decorated hall, I beheld hundred s upon hundreds of s-f fans milling about. In my hurried rush, i nearly ran into Sam Mskowitz and Donald A. Wollheim slapping each other on the back and joyfully discussing things in general. As I stood there gazing at them, Moskowitz's bosom pal, Olon F. Wiggins came up and asked Same when he would have another of his brilliant articles for the FAN. Stumbling on I saw a group of British fans praising American mags. to the sky. At that moment I was rudely pushed into a corner where I found James V. Taurasi and Richard Wilson Jr. discussing plans for the next issue of their daily s-f sheet. Continuing on through the maze of jabbering fans, I made my way to the center of the floor where I was astounded to find Will Sykora teaching some of the visiting fans the latest dance steps. A little tired by my madrushing about, I retreated to a dark corner to rest. As I reached my destination I was startled by the (Cont. on P.)
