{Boxed content:} THE PLANETEER, a tall, well built, young earthman, who with his only companion, THE ASTEROID, steal and otherwise cause damage to just one object, The Interplanetary Lines. Why? The answer is simple. Years ago, when he was know by another name, his father started a Rocket Ship Company. This company was doing well, but by unlawful means, The Interplanetary Lines framed his father of murder and had him hung. THE PLANETEER, then a small boy, swore that he'd get even and not rest until Interplanetary Lines had been completely smashed. This is a task that seems without end, because Interplanetary is not only a rocket company, but also a nation. They were the first to send a rocket to Venus and when it landed there, instead of claiming the planet for Earth, it was claimed for Interplanetary Lines, who set up their own government. The people of Earth, not wanting war, let Interplanetary have Venus. No Interplanetary rules, direct or indirect, othe whole known Solar System. It is the only rocket operating. If other's try, the result is that, the new line is smashed in a few weeks, even if Interplanetary has to murder the owners. Thus is the setup that THE PLANETEER and his friend, THE ASTEROID, fight. In space suits they crossed the void and entered the space liner. Here they were confronted by six of the crew holding guns. "Well," said one of the crew, "What do you want now? You saved us from the pirates and we appreciate it, but if you think we'll give you the gold, you're mistaken. Beat it while you have the chance." The Planeteer looked at him calmly, walked past him, heading for the control room and the rest of the gold. "So you think we're fooling?" shouted the crew member "shoot him down, men!" Shots rand out and struck The planeteer, but he seemed unhurt, he had taken a chance that the crew members would use the guns he had given them earlier and had put on a special suit proof against those guns. Thus he was unhurt as he continued his way towards the control room. The crew looked at their guns, threw them away, and prepared to capture The Planeteer by force. "I wouldn't do that," said a voice behind them. They turned and found themselves looking into a gun held in the hand of The Asteroid. A minute later, a party of men and women came down the passageway, each carrying a bar of gold. "Here's the rest of thegold,"
