Saving...
Wednesday noon [1917] Dear Miss Williams - Your Sunday evening letter just arrived. I hope Miss Vlingenhagen survived her experience with the stomach pump and is now happy and healthy again. The cold weather was disagreeable at first but we are prepared for it now. our regiment will [[underlined]] probably [[/underlined]] remain here to garrison the post, moving into the permanent barracks when the R.O.T.C. goes in November. I'd like too go with you on some of your [netting?] trips, there are so many beautiful places near Iowa City that you can't miss all of them, so I know you will picnic in some lovely spot every time.
