Thirty-Sixth to Leave Snelling in Few Days Removal of the Thirty-sixth infantry from Fort Snelling is probable within a few days. Colonel A. L. Parmeter, commandant at the fort, said he could give out no information. Officers of the regiment are making preparations for departure. Colonel Parmeter said two battalions of United States guardsmen to be assigned from cantonments, will be assembled and stationed at the fort, in accordance with the War department's plan to keeep army garrisons well supplied with troops. Five hundred Indiana draft men arrived at the fort last week, and this week 25o men from Camp Grant, Ill., have arrived. They are part of the One Hundred and Sixty-first depot brigade.
