After all of the programming, the House still serves as a headquarters for most Black organizations at The University of Iowa, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Alpha Phi Alpha, Black American Law Students Association (BALSA), Black Genesis Dance Troupe, Black Panhellenic Council, Black Students in Engineering. Black Student Nurses, Delta Sigma Theta, Kappa Alpha Psi, Mutha Funk Band, National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), Omega Psi Phi, Student National Medical Association (SNMA) , United We Seek After Wisdom (SAW), and other groups use the House as a regular meeting or rehearsal place. In addition the Black Student Union and the Voices of Soul Gospel Choir have office space at the House. The House staff assists organization in any way that they can, including offering mailbox services and acting as a message center for those groups that don't have office space on campus. The House also provides clerical help to most organizations, whenever possible. [photo]
