[faint illustration at top of page with title] Fantasie Bookes by Ye Olde Booke Collector Donald Wandrei has had two books of poetry published. His first entitled merely POEMS was published by W. Paul Cook on the Recluse Press in '26. The edition is similar in appearance to F. B. Long's MAN FROM GENOA or Lovecraft's SHUNNED HOUSE. Contents run to 40 pages. Most of the poems enclosed might be termed juvenilia insofar as they were written by Wandrei in early life. The style is rather inferior to his Weird Tale work, type mainly love or erotic poems, a few weird or fantastic in nature. Wandrei's second book is entitled DARK ARGosy and was privately printed by Wandrei in about '29. As is said to be a very handsome job, illustrated by Howard Wandrei. According to our informant, the contents are a selection of his best works from Weird Tales. Both books are exceedingly rare, the second far more so. [centered]**** Lord Dunsany is usually famed for his tales of pure fantasy and fantastic plays. His later short story writing has been of a different trend, mainly in the line of the "tall Stories", semi-fictional-stf, satirical, etc. These are embodied in the two books THE TRAVEL TALES OF MR.
