THE FANTASIE...9 FANMAGS CONTD. LE ZOMBIE Twelve neatly mimeod pink pages from Bob Tucker, Box 260, Bloomington, Illinois. Photo of Tucker, Marconette, Reinsberg, and Meyer om the cover. Second part of a convention article in this issue. Always fascinating are Tucker's department (of the Interior, Over the Ocean, Feminine Fashions, etc.). The mag is well worth the nickel it costs. PLUTO PLUTO Published by the Literature, Science, and Hobbies Club of Decker, Ind. [Indiana]. Beautifully mimeod in five colors. Contains mostly humor but has a fact article, fan and pro mag reviews, poetry, letter columns, etc. Has over thirty large pages and can be had for a dime. Good cover by Damon Knight and a back cover pic is done by Studley. SPACEWAYS SPACEWAYS The second anniversary issue. Excellent cover by Tom Wright. Top-notch material by Gnaedinger, Quinn, Campbell, Long, Schwartz, Ackerman, Weisinger, Kummer, Derleth, Lovecraft, etc. Forty two pages in all counting the back cover which is by Hannes Bok. SpWa always presents the best material obtainable and positively outdoes itself with this issue. In addition to the articles, fiction, etc. this Dec. number has the regular features and departments, the best being Stardust. Only a time from Harry Warner, Jr., 303 Bryan Place, Hagerstown, Md. [Maryland] IFA REVIEW Organ of the Indiana Fantasy Association. Published by Ted Dikty, 3136 Smith St., Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Contains good artwork by Jenkinson, Maskwicz, and has articles, fiction, letters, book reviews, etc. This has twenty-two pages. Rather poorly hektoed this time but a good mag. It is ten cents to non IFA members, I believe. Fantasy Fiction Field It wouldn't do to leave mention of this lively, weekly newssheet, out. Comes from Julius Unger, 1702 Dahill Rd., Brooklyn, New York. It is the only reliable weekly mag, and contains four pages of news, several regular columns, and a free advertising section to all subscribers. Five cents per copy. -----PLUS----- With the exception of a possible article by Clifford Simak and the regular departments I have little idea what the next issue of TF will contain. However, I do know that it will be close to thirty large pages. It will also be hektoes in a bevy of new brilliant colors. In any event, it will contain the best. I darned near forgot to include THE ALCHEMIST in this here review. December ish has forty small pages of unexcelled art, fiction, articles, verse, and departments. The mag is now mimeod in three colors, blue, green, and red. Very neatly assembled. Now monthly again after having gone quarterly. Outstanding is a feature article by Lowndes. You'd be a dope to miss this mag. Get it from 1258 Race St., Denver Colo. [Colorado] at 10c per copy.
