MISCELLANEOUS Full instruction on how to file a proposed Resolution for the Chicon Platform will be found elsewhere in this issue, and on a special mimeographed form available at the entrance of the Convention Hall. All resolutions must be filed on these forms. IFF members are instructed to bring along their membership cards to the Convention so they may properly identified as members of the sponsoring body. The IFF members present, will at the morning session of the second day, meet to decide the future of the IFF, among other items pertaining thereto. Music. All fans who play a musical instrument should be sure to include it in their retinue. A band composed of fan musicians will entertain at the Masquerade Party. Contact Jack Speer when you arrive. Refreshments. Soft drinks (i.e., “red pop”), sandwiches, beer, etc. will be on sale at the Convention; the Hotel has a bar at hand; but refreshments will be free at the Party. A small admission is to be charged in connection with this event. Ten cents to fans in costume, fifteen cents to those not in costume. The Convention Committee is anticipating an attendance of between two and three hundred people at the Chicon. All major city newspapers will have reporters and cameramen on hand, Life magazine will be represented, as well as other national magazines. “Be prepared to get your picture in the papers”. All members of the Chicon National Advisory Board are asked to get in touch with the Chairman of the Convention Committee (Mark Reinsberg) as soon as they arrive in Chicago, as several important committees, to operate during the Chicon, must be formed and their functions explained to the committee members.
