A new column   THE SCIENTIFUN WAY TO ESPERANTO
Class conducted by Fojak.
Chas. D. Hornig recently said to me, "I believe Esperanto is a practical application of Scientifiction, don't you think so?" I originally was aroused when I realized that in this Toungue of Tomoro was a way vicariously to time travel! For tho I could not actually go to the future; witness its wonders, sample its wares, bring back a memento; I coud learn what science fiction authors often called its language. So I did. (NB. Little did they reckon with Ackermanese!) Now the editor of FAN-ATIC has invited me to make that experience possible for you. Which I shall attempt to do in a scientifictional, even occasionally amusing (I trust) manner.

Typists or typesetters not equipt with the accented letters may spell the c g h j & s that have supersigns, ch, gh, hh, jh, & sh, and omit the marking from the u. That is to say, this is not entirely correct; but any Esperantist can understand. Pronunciation is same as English with these exceptions:

Nouns: (U've surely heard this often enuf!) always end in "o". And that always goes for anything I may say at any time about grammar and pronunciation. There are no exceptions which "prove" rules--something I never could understand in English. So:
roboto...mechanical man
stelo...star
science...science
autoro...author
