this morning the men got through filling silo at schneiders this eve we got Pepper cinnamon & ginger from Watkins man yesterday wed sept 30 A gloomy day we made 5 qts ground cherry preserves which is just fine & a lot more junk 3½ qts apple butter Aulden halled a load of hogs to Elgin for B Flanagan to day Wallace took the girls to school this morning went after them this eve was so muddy he was chaising hogs & fell in a watter hole had to change all his clothes th Oct 1 A nice day quite cool this eve
