wed Dec 2 A bright day but cold the children went down to the Klingman Bros near Elkader to league Aulden went to Elgin after a load of coal Lena washed the curtains in the dining room & Pailor & the 2 doors & we got them dry ironed them & are on the windows all nice & clean I am very tired Mrs Hourn died last nite th Dec 3 A rainy day we had 10 ladies here quilting for the ladies aid dident get it done we heared this morning John F Peters died yesterday
