Rebecca & a Mr Black is making candy this eve sat June 5 A nice day I sent Russell a letter to day Clara & I was over town did some calling got some ice cream got a letter from Russell this morning sun June 6 A nice day quite cool we was home all day John Clara & I till 6.30 when a Mr Shamfort came after us to (illegible) to his home for a couple hours an grand view very nice up there was treated us to angel food cake & a glass of beer
