Fri Dec 31 A nice winter day not very cold dident thaw like yesterday is lonesome here to night Aulden started for Ames he is going to school he said he wasent coming back when his 3 months is up but I hope he will change his mind & come the roads are good cars goes all the time Wallace took Aulden to Elgin to take the train this morning I hope he got through all right & will get a good room & room mete & will keep well & do well in his studies come out on the top with every thing
