Tues Mar 15 A bright day not cold but high wind we dident have any fire in the furnace Lena washed Russells laundry came got a letter from Aulden wed Mar 16 A warm day we made fryed cakes cookies a sour cream pie I am so very tired it is raining very hard just now at 8 PM th Mar 17 A nice day but the roads are fierce in some places W L went to Elgin this afternoon after some pig troughs got stuck just the other side of home had a dickens of a time getting out we finished our patching & ironing got a letter from Prescott he wasent coming back
