ironed today Ella & Lena got some blackberries made a pie & some for dinner sent Russells straw hat to him today out to Perles th Aug 4 A nice day Wallace & Lena went to Independence to a something regarding Holstein breeders Charley went to town the girls & I are alone 9 PM Is Shaffer & wife went with them Fri Aug 5 A nice day Wallace & Sam Flagan got the threshing machine over here today was going to thresh a load of grain & something broke W L was at Elgin twice he took Ella over to the church to practice this eve my coat is all done Lena got the buttons for it yesterday & sewed them on this morning is nice I like it
