sat sept 3 A nice day we all went to Elkader this afternoon to Pall & Bink sale got a few things I am tired Wallace took Ella to Wadena this eve to band practice she is going home with Marge Ernst for the night from Wadena we cooked 13 qts apple butter today sun sept 4 A nice day Robert Klingman was here to supper came home with Charley W L & Lena has gone to church this eve the girls & I are alone Wallace Mary & I went after Ella over to Robert Ernst this afternoon mon sept 5 a very warm day Lena washed the girls started to school this morning I suppose Russell has taught his first day of school at Cabury hope he will get along all right
