It feels like old times, - back in 1937, when I first became active in the fan field and put out the first issue of COSMIC TALES QUARTERLY. This issue marks the 4th year of COSMIC TALES and also my 4th year as an active fan. -NOW that the entry is over a little news about COSMIC TALES' future issues. Starting with the next issue, COSMIC TALES will return to the hectographing. It will contain 10 pages, 8 1/2 x 11 (same as at present) and sell for FIVE CENTS A COPY. It will be published bi-monthly with the hope of monthly as soon as possibly. Why the change? The answer is money. It costs too much to put out a magazine of this size and not all fame will buy an all-fiction fan magazine, So with the change to hecto, we can keep the magazine going till our circulation is high enough to go back to mimeo. -MATERIAL of all kind is needed to continue this magazine. We need fiction, poems and more fiction. -THIS column in the future will be a combination editoral and readers' column, so send in your letters on this issue at once, as the next issue will be started as soon as this is off the press. (JVT) ---------------------------- THE JAMES V. TAURASI COMPANY, publisher, 137-07 32nd Ave,Flushing, N.Y. Price this issue 10c. Starting with the next issue, price 5c a copy, 6 issues for 25c.
