The committee next discussed student organizations and the problem of discrimination. Those members who attended the meting last summer with the subcommittee on student organizations of the Committee on Student Life commented on that meeting. It was agreed that the Committee on Human Rights should cooperate with the Committee on Student Life on the removal of external pressures on student organizations in membership selection. It was also agreed that the committee should stimulate the members of student organizations to take the initiative in eliminating discrimination which is contrary to the university policy on human rights. A subcommittee will work on this question. It will be comprised of Bennett, Brogan, Carver and Boyd.

The committee hopes to have an open meeting in the near future to review its work and specifically discuss student organizations. At that meeting the committee would like to have Dean Huit report on the work of his committee.
