Associated Women Students is an organization to which you already belong as a new SUI student; all undergraduate women are members of the organization. We sponsor many events with YOU in mind. We hope this very real interest we have in you will be reflected by your participation, work, and enjoyment of AWS activities. We feel both scholarship and activities are important in the development of an educated woman. We sponsor social, political, intellectual, and international activities in an attempt to help you continually fulfill your potential as an individual, a woman, and a student. Welcome to S-YOU-I. In the words of St. John Perse, "There is a world to be born under your footsteps." We believe that you have made a wise choice in coming to the State University of Iowa and we are certain you will be happy here.
