The University offers numerous services to you. Whenever you need it, Student Health will provide you with free and professional medical attention. Your dental needs will be taken care of by the Dental Clinic while you are here. The Office of Student Affairs, Room 111, University Hall, will give you general counsel and advice. If you are seeking part-time employment, you may also obtain information from the Student Placement Service in the office. You will meet with your faculty adviser after you have finished your entrance exams so that he can help you plan your schedule. During the course of registration, you'll have your picture taken for your student identification card. Your ID card is very valuable for it admits you to all home athletic events, plays, and concerts. You will make many new friends in your housing units, whether you decide to live in a dorm, town house, or a sorority. Those of you who are interested in rushing will receive the Panhellenic Handbook. Although sororities do provide new friends, your opportunities for making friends are not in any way determined by where you live. Friendships are a very important part of anyone's life, and social life is one of the nicest things about college. Remember that everyone is just as anxious to know you as you are to know them, so relax and be yourself. Good times are ahead for you and your friends. 12
