An information booth, located in front of Old Capitol, will be open from September 20 through September 26 to help you with your questions and problems. An informal open house at the home of President and Mrs. Hancher is one of the highlights of your orientation program. New students will have an opportunity to meet the President and his wife, members of the administration, faculty members, and other students in this hospitable home. You'll have a chance to become familiar with the numerous athletic facilities at SUI's Field House when you attend Play Night. Exhibitions by various athletic departments will be offered for your entertainment, and you can play volleyball, basketball, badminton, Ping-pong, or swim, if you wish. Play Night will close with a lively square dance. Displays in the Main Lounge of the Union will be set up on Wednesday to acquaint you with all the University's organizations. A Matinee Dance in the River Room will give you a chance to top off the afternoon with some dancing for relaxation before classes begin. The official beginning of the school year is opened by the impressive Induction Ceremony held on the west steps of Old Capitol at 9:25 a.m., September 26. Orientation is over now, and we hope you're on your way to a happy year. The University offers many special services to you. Health-wise, Student Health will provide you with professional medical attention whenever you need it. Part of your entrance fee covers the cost of the student health program. The Dental Clinic will attend to your dental problems. During registration you'll have your picture taken for your identification card. This card will admit you to all home athletic events, plays, and concerts. 11
