sorority membership. Editorship of this pamphlet is determined by the Panhellenic Council each year. This Code for Coeds produced by AWS, will be mentioned further in another portion of the pamphlet. The Student Council puts out a small pocketbook. Herky Hints, to help guide the new student around campus. Editorship of this publication is designed by the council members. Music [hand drawing of man with horn] A brass horn or a flashing baton suggests music to you. The program for chorus, band (both marching and concert), and orchestra are very complete here at SUI. The groups are all highly competitive and encourage performance ability on the part of the student, whether it's on the football field or on the concert stage at the Union. Appreciation or playing interest in this field should accompany a well rounded education, so take advantage of the music program we have here. The chorus practices twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Four concerts are presented periodically during the year. Marching band performs at all the home football games and takes one trip to an out of town game each fall. The concert band likewise performs, but later in the season. Tours are made each spring, and these groups present their talents in surrounding towns. Orchestra is active all year and provides six fine symphony concerts throughout the season. Any additional information concerning these cultural activities can be provided for you at the Music Building. 21
