Watch for information concerning this activity when second semester rolls around... maybe you'll be a future Hawkeye booster. Committee work is also open to many students. There are fifteen active council members and some 75 subcommittee members needed each season to run the organization. These positions are filled through applications and interviews of those interested in joining the club. This organization sponsors a number of outings such as hikes, horseback riding, Wisconsin ski trips, ice-skating, and a series of travel film lectures. During the summer months, the group takes adventurous jaunts to the national mountain regions and occasional trips to foreign countries. Former experience of any type isn't needed for membership in this intriguing group. Home Economics Club Perhaps you're looking forward to a future of homemaking. This club is, then. suited to you. You'll enjoy the various talks, style shows, and special dinners planned by the group each year A Baked Bean Supper is a tradition for the Home Economics Club and whether you're an active member or merely an interested onlooker, you'll enjoy attending some of their functions. 23
