TRAINING RULES To keep in good physical condition for your strenuous life at the University, you need plenty of rest and sleep. Your home while in college will probably be one of the two large dormitories, or possibly a sorority house, if you are an upperclassman. The dormitories provide many items necessary for your health and comfort. The dormitory staff believes that a residence hall should be more than a rooming and boarding house - that it should contribute to your learning and experiences in living. Each girl has a single bed, a desk, and space in a dresser for sweaters and such. Closet space is adequate, but you shouldn't bring everything until you find out how much space you will have. It is best to consult with your new roommates before buying anything extra for the room. Most likely you will decide that the room is complete as it is. Bedspreads, draperies and all bedding are furnished, so your room will look quite "homey"" from the first. Even modern study lamps are provided for each girl. Maids will clean your room twice a week, but remember that general neatness is your responsibility. Because the University dormitories house a somewhat larger number of people than the usual home, simple rules and neccessary for the use of facilities.
