Professors test over class notes as well as over the textbook, so get yourself a good notebook and pen that writes easily. Listen carefully during the lecture and try to pick out the main point the instructor is making, writing down explanatory details also. Good grades are the result of studying your textbook, taking good notes, keeping up your daily assignments, and attending class regularly.
