YWCA You may have had some experience with the Young Women's Christian Association in your home town; if so, you already know how worthwhile it is. In any case, you'll want to survey its projects and pick the one that appeals most to you. They are coordinated by the YWCA Cabinet, which extends an invitation to membership to all interested coeds. Your participation in the program of this women's service group will assure you new friends and wide interests in the next four years. FRESHMAN "Y" You will get an overall view of the opportunities offered by the YWCA when you become a member of Freshman "Y". Here you'll join with other girls your age in electing your own officers and planning special projects in cooperation with the YWCA as a whole. Freshman "Y" is the ideal place to begin if you plan to cast your lot with YWCA. HOSPITAL SERVICE The YWCA Hospital Board provides volunteer service for local hospitals. As a member of this group, you may serve on one of six committees; crippled children, visitation, ready, psychopathic, Oakdale (tuberculosis sanitorium), and special projects Your entertainment and personal attention will cheer those you visit, and you'll get the good feeling that comes from serving others. MAJOR IN MARRIAGE As listener or committee member, you may have a part in the popular YWCA Major in Marriage lecture series. The talks cover both the psychological and physiological sides of marriage and are open to all SUI students and to the general public. You can get more information on the program at the "Y" booth at the Activities Open House in the fall. WORLD RELATEDNESS You can get acquainted with foreign students on campus and help them feel welcome by investing your time in the YWCA Nation and World Com- 28
