QUESTIONS TO BE RESOLVED BY THE HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE AND THE OFFICE OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION 1. What is the relationship between the Human Rights Committee and the Office of Affirmative action? 2. When the same complaint is filed with the Office of Affirmative Action and the Human Rights Committee, how should a decision to handle these complaints be made to prevent duplication of human resources? 3. Can we agree on a general policy for determining responsibility for handling certain kinds of complaints regardless of their destination? For example: When should the Office of Affirmative Action refer matters to the Human Rights Committee and vice versa? 4. What procedure could we develop to keep both agencies informed of what each is currently doing in order to prevent duplication of services and human resources? 5. Is it advantages for the Office of Affirmative Action to be consulted on recommendations from the Human Rights Committee? If so, at what level?
