1. Does not meet the minimum required qualifications for the class; 2. Is so disabled that he cannot perform the duties of the job; 3. Habitually uses narcotics or uses intoxicating beverages to excess as determined by medical authority; 4. Has made a false statement of material fact in his application; 5. Has information concerning the examination to which he is not entitled; 6. delete statement 7. Is on probation or parole for a felony or an indictable misdemeanor which makes him unsuitable for employment in a particular class or position; 8. delete statement A disqualified applicant or eligible will promptly be notified in writing of such action at his last known address. A disqualified applicant or eligible may request review of the reason for his disqualification. Such request will be in writing and upon receipt the Board of Regents Merit System Review Board will give full consideration to the request, and notify the applicant of the decision in writing. Chapter 6.3 (1) ELIGIBILITY REQUESTS Objection: Presumably there will be departmental job vacancies which cannot be satisfied by any of the three candidates composing the Eligibility Register. Alternate Proposal: Under unusual circumstances candidates from the Eligibility Register may be rejected by a department as the result of incompatibilities which are not testable under the Merit System. In this event, the Departmental Chairman should have the option of petitioning the Resident Director for additional names from the Eligibility List.
