CHAPTER X- USE OF UNIVERSITY FACILITIES I. Permission to Use University Buildings and Facilities. The use of University facilities may be granted to recognized student organizations only when such use does not interfere with regular University programs. Reservations are to be made at least one week in advance. Approval for the use of University buildings and facilities should be secured from the Office of the Registrar, excepting as follows: Iowa Memorial Union - at the Office of the Director Field House and Armory - at the Office of the Director of Athletics and the Commandant Old Capitol - at the Office of the President II. Charge for Use of University Buildings and Facilities. When available, University facilities may be extended to recognized student organizations under the same terms as to University departments. A schedule of charges established for the use of auditoriums, Field House, Iowa Memorial Union, and lecture rooms covers additional costs for the use of such facilities when used after 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday, or on Saturday, Sunday, or a legal holiday. Such charges must be paid in advance at the University Treasurer's Office in accordance with the charge schedule. III. Charges for Admission. If admission is to be charged for an event or activity held in University facilities, student organizations must arrange for the handling of tickets and all proceeds through the Auditor of Student Organizations Fund. See Chapter VI, Section IX for conditions to be met. IV. Use of Campus Booth. Student groups desiring the use of a booth on campus must make written requests to the Office of Student Affairs giving dates needed, purpose, and name of person in charge at least one week in advance. V. Approval for Posters and Other Publicity Materials on Campus. Posters, displays, or other forms of publicity which students or student groups wish to use or display in any campus buildings or on the campus must be approved by the Office of the President. All requests for such approval must have the endorsement of the Office of Student Affairs, except that materials to be used in and around the Iowa Memorial Union must also have the endorsement of the Director of the Iowa Memorial Union. No displays, posters, banners, etc., are permitted in the Pentacrest area except those specifically approved by the Office of the President upon recommendation by the Dean of Students. A. Posters and display cards approved for campus bulletin boards must not exceed 11x14 inches in size. VI. Prohibition of Sales Agents and Soliciting on Campus. All salesmen, saleswomen, or agents for any product, proposition, or cause whatsoever are [33]
