Advice on any problem dealing with business procedures or financial policy. CHAPTER X- USE OF UNIVERSITY FACILITIES I. Use of University Buildings and Facilities. Recognized student organizations may use University buildings and facilities subject to the demands of the regular University program. Reservations for these are to be made at least one week in advance in the Space Assignment and Utilization Office located in Room 102, University Hall. Exceptions: Reservations for the Iowa Memorial Union- Scheduling Office. Field House and Armory- Office of the Director of Athletics and the Commandant. All events scheduled are placed on the University Master Calendar which is maintained in Room 102, University Hall. II. Charges for Use of Buildings and Facilities. There will be a regular charge for use of buildings and facilities after 5:00 p.m, Monday through Friday, or on Saturday, Sunday, or a legal holiday. This charge cover janitorial service, heat light and a minimal setup or room arrangement, It must be paid in advance at the University Business Office through the Auditor of Student Organizations Fund. III. Admission for Events in University Buildings. Student organizations planning to charge admission for any event must arrange for ticket sales and disposition of proceeds through the Auditor of Student Organizations Fund. See Chapter VIII, Section XIV, for conditions to be met. IV. Policy on Campus Speakers and Programs, including Political Meetings. It is University policy to permit recognized student organizations to present diverse points of view from speakers and programs to inform themselves on issues of contemporary concern, including politics, religion, ethics, and morals. In presenting controversial issues, the organization will be expected to subject the speaker to questions and to have the meeting chaired by the group's faculty adviser or other faculty member. The University will make its facilities available to candidates for state wide or national public office from each political party recognized as such under the laws of the State.1 Student Organizations shall obtain approval for all meetings with the Office of Student Affairs before applying for space assignment.
