3. 3. CD UNION SQUARE CRITICISM ----- WEEK OF SEPT. 23rd, 1907. MILTON'S DOGS This is a very good act. It is not only a dog act, but also an acrobatic act. He does a lot of work on the bar. His tricks are all very good. Consider it a very good three a day act. Went very well. 13 minutes, full stage. Three shows. MARIE LAURENS This woman has a fair voice. She makes a very neat appearance on the stage, and has a pleasing personality. Went fair. 12 minutes X in one. Three shows. SYLVAN AND O'NEAL Comedy Acrobatic Sketch. This is a very fair act. The man is a very good acrobat, and his comedy is also good. The woman does very little, but what she does is fair. Went fair. 12 minutes, full stage. Three shows. BERGERE SISTERS Refined singing act. This is a very good act. These two young ladies went on for me one Sunday and they went so good that I gave them this week. Both very pretty and neatly dressed, and they both have corking good voices, and it is the makings of a good act. I hope they will give this act some time, as I am sure it will make good in any of our houses. Went very well. 14 minutes in one. Three shows. LEWIS AND GREEN Singing and Talking Comedians. These two men do a very good act, and ought to be in the two show section. The comedy is good. A special feature being their parodies which went very big. Went very well. 22 minutes. Open in one, and then full stage and close in one. Three shows. LILIAN DOREEN I can't see this woman at all. Her songs are fair, but she lacks a lot of ginger in her act. She stands out on the stage as it no one is listening to her, and I was forced to close her after the first performance as per agreement. After she finished her act she got some applause from her friends out in the audience, and I am sure if her friends weren't there she would not get any hand at all. 17 minutes in one. KARTELLI European Novelty Wire Act. This fellow does a corking good act. His work is good, and he certainly made good. Went very well. 10 minutes, full stage. Two shows. FRED WALTON AND COMPANY In "Cissie's Dream." Mr. Walton scored a success as usual. Consider him one of the best pantomimists in the country. His act was very well received, and went very big. 23 minutes, full stage. Open in one and close in one. ELINORE SISTERS In "The Actress and the Maid." Big scream of course. 21 minutes in one. PAULTON AND DOOLEY This is a very good bicycle act. Both men are very clever. The comedy is exceptionally good. Went very well. 14 minutes, full stage. KINETOGRAPH All pictures are good. NOTE. The show this week is not quite as good as usual. There is too much singing on the bill, but there is so much comedy in the acts that it is hardly noticeable, and the show ran very smoothly this afternoon. Reed Albee,
