14 N. S. HASTINGS. CLEVELAND, OHIO. Aug. 30, '07. THOMAS & PAYNE Encore. Man and woman. (coons). 11 minutes. Good singing, good dancing. The man does a very clever clog dance on roller skates which is a distinct novelty and goes big. M EMERIE Mlle. Assisted by Monsiour Silvorn. Palace in four. 13 minutes. This is a trapeze gymnastic novelty, the feature of which is the disrobing of Emerie which is done very cleverly from full dress to tights in a manner which makes a big hit with the audience. The act is absolutely refined and the finish is especially strong. KELLY & ROSE. Two men[[?]]. in one. 18 minutes.Tenner and basso. This is a strictly high class singing act and wins big applause. Their repertoire includes the best popular songs and some old time melodies. GILLETTE'S DOGS AND MONKEYS Typical set, full stage, 8 minutes. The act shows a minature street scene in which the dogs and monkeys carry out a melodrama without the appearance of their trainer at any time during the act. The animals are remarkably well trained and one dog that does "A Drunk" makes a bit hit as I have over seen in vaudeville. This whole act is continuous [[?]]. SEARL & VIOLET ALLEN CO. Two special drops. Open in one. Close in two. 14 min. This act shows the interior of a pullman chair car. It is fast and furious from start to finish. Receiving much applause and many laughs. The comedy is all bright and original. This act would make a hit on any bill. HAL STEPHENS & CO. Presenting a modern Rip Van Winkle. Three special drops in four. 31 minutes. This play is half burlesque and half an imitation. of the old story of Rip Van Winkle brought up to date. Comedy is good, and the acting is excellent. E EVA TANGUAY. In one, 15 minutes. Miss Tanguay sings five songs in the spot light and makes a big hit, by jumping all over the stage and doing funny stunts with her voice. She is receiving[[?]] a big drawing card here this week. Many people do not like her act, but the big majority do. She makes a rapid change before each song, appearing in beautiful and striking costumes. FOUR NELSON's COMIQUES, Comedy acrobatic. F. S. 11 min.Four men. This is a fairly good act and would be much better if the slap stick comedy was cut out. Many people got up and left their seats during the act. KINETOGRAPH
