[[underline]]EMMETT CORRIGAN[[end underline]], "His Wife's Picture" :- 20 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 8:52. For a twenty-minute sketch there is lots of dash and interest in this act, although Mr. Corrigan's male support could be a little stronger, Miss Augusta True gives the star a good assistance, being pretty and charmingly costumed. The action turns on a husband's suspicion that his wife is in the apartments of a former lover, and the intrigue of the valet-detective to bring about the wife's conviction of infidelity. There is strong interest in the act and some considerable humor. Corrigan handles the theme with a strong individuality right up to a surprising finish. There were two curtain calls at the close and big hand. [[underline]]BURR McINTOSH[[end underline]],Illus. Lecture:- 30 min. In 1. 2 shows. On at 9:12. This is certainly an innovation in Vaudeville, but if it were not for the interest aroused by the stamp of officialdom and Mr. McIntosh's own fame as an actor such brilliant press work in favor of this present administration would not leave so strong an impression even with these beautiful pictures. Mr. McIntosh's line of talk is always pleasing, some times brilliant and at times instructive. Many of the pictures got a good hand. The political part is a little strained, but our audience rather liked it than otherwise. The close was very strong, showing that the innovation is a popular one, and will be talked about. [[underline]]PARADISE ALLEY[[end underline]], S. & D. & Comedy :- 25 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 9:42. This is a good act of the Harrigan-Hart variety, and catches the crowd. There are eleven people in the cast. The act has been fully described from New York. There is plenty of dash and go in it, and the musical numbers are quite above the ordinary. The dancing by the girls is good, the costuming likewise. It is one of those comedy features that leave no distinct impression, but it entertains all the way through. [[underline]]AVERY & HART[[end underline]], Col. Com:- 19 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 10:07. Well known on the Circuit. Same line of talk as previously between the little smart coon and the big comedy booby. They put lots of ginger into the act and there is plenty of lughter all through. Closed strong. [[underline]]GILLETT'S DOGS[[end underline]]:- 9 min. F. S. 2 shows. On at 10:26. This is certainly a very amusing animal act. His dogs apparantly work entirely without assitance from the trainer and carry out a little playlet with miniature street scene and houses. The canine drunks were particularly amusing and when at last the chimpanzee drags them into a patrol wagon and they are drawn away by a big Newfoundland dog, there is a perfect scream of laughter. This is especially a good children's act, and would stand billing as such very strong. [[underline]]KINETOGRAPH[[end underline]];- THE LAYING OF RAILS;- Fairly interesting travel film. THE FLY ECLIPSE:- Good comedy film. THE DIEPPE CIRCUIT:- One of the most thrilling and interesting motion pictures every shown in this theatre and gets a good hand. Altogether the KINETOGRAPH feature better than the usual run of pictures this week.
