UNION SQUARE CRITICISM-----WEEK OF OCTOBER 21st, 1907.
JUGGLING MATHIEU. This fellow does a fair act. There is very little comedy inX the act, most of it being straight. All right to open the show. Went fair. 12 minutes in one. Three shows.
MORTON & PATTERSON. Colored Singers and Dancers. These two people do a very fair act. The man is not a bad comedian, but the woman has a good voice. They make a very neat appearance on the stage. A good three a day act. Went very well. 13 minutes in one. Three shows. 
This act has played here several times,
BRICKS AND VEDDER. and always seems to make good. Went fair. 12 minutes, full stage. Three shows.
B. REINHOLD. Monologist. This fellow does a very good act. His monologue is very clever, also his songs. If he keeps on improving his act, I think in time he will be in the two show section. 15 minutes in one. Three shows. 
GERTRELLA. This woman does a very good act. I cut out her singing, and her work on the trapeze is very good. Went very well. 12 minutes, full stage. 
DALE & O'MALLEY. English Comedians. I was very pleased with this act. I thought they would fall down in this house as in all the rest of the houses, but they held the audience down here. They have some very good material, and this seems to be the kind of audience they want. 14 minutes in one.
FIVE MADCAPS. A very good act. All very good dancers and good acrobats. Went very well. 15 minutes, full stage. 
MURRAY SISTERS. This is one of the best Sister acts in the business. Both very pretty girls, costumes are very pretty, and they both have very good voices. This act is sure to make a hit in any of our houses. Went big. 13 minutes in one.
VALERIE RERGERE AND COMPANY In "A Bowery Camille." This is one of the best sketches I have ever seen in some time. Went big. 28 minutes, full stage. 
EVA TAYLOR AND COMPANY IN "Chums." This is a very good act. Plenty of comedy all the way through. Miss Taylor and Mr. Grattan are both very clever. The Only bad part in the act is their support. The man is not very good, and the woman is not good, and I have spoken to Miss Taylor, and she told me she will change her support. 29 minutes, full stage.
MATHEWS AND ASHLYE "A SMash-up in Chinatown." This act always goes well, especially their parodies at the finish which are very good. Went big. 18 minutes in one.
APDALE'S ANIMALS. This is a very good animal act. I like this act just as well as all the animal acts I have played. All the animals are very well trained. I like this XXXX act very much. 15 minutes, full stage.
