Report on Columbus, Show, Week Oct 26th. -- 1907 w. W. Preseer. GERTRRLLA: Soubrette & Gymnast: She opens with a dance that is fairly well done then goes to trapeze and performs a number of stunts that win considerable applause for her. -- she makes a nice appearance and go away very well. -- She uses a pretty setting which adds materially to her work. No fault can be found, especially for an opener. 10 minutes special set. BARRY & WOLFORD: Man and woman, singing a talking act. -- A very good one. Secured a great number of laughs and must be credited with going as well as anything on the bill. -- Their method is quiet but none the less effective. Have a good line of talk and songs and made good in every way. 14 minutes in one. -- LIND: Well known act. -- He made good in fact went very well but the act is hard to offer judgment on for the reason that the finish is such a surprise that the audience did not seem to know just how to take it. -- I would term the act a hit however and of course quite a novelty. 10 minutes Special setting. VERDI MUSICAL FOUR: An ordinary instrumental set consisting of four men. Nothing especially worthy of attention but they managed to get by and were not bad by any means. Their time was at least consumed without tiring any one. -- The French Horn solo won considerable applause. -- This player has some style in playing and gets a good tone. 13 minutes olio. CLAYTON WHITE & MARIE STUART: " Sketch, four people, " Cherries" -- Same set they did here ;ast season. -- They have made some improvements on same and it is a hit of the first order. -- I don't think anyone would do better than they. -- this is the first "return" act that we have had that has received a reception on their entrance. 27 minutes. -- C. D. F. WYNN & LEWIS : The Sophmore and the Freshman: Two young men who make a very favorable impression in a singing an talking act. -- 17 minutes in one. KITIBANZIA JAPS: Night Japs who do a routine of material none of which is new but all of which is so well executed that it goes as well as coyld be desired. -- They received many marks of approval and all in all were distinct hit? 15 minutes special set. PICTURES: Irish Scenes[[?]] and Types: Ninety-Nine in The Shade: Fair.
