(2) Four Fords. On at 3.28, 15 min, full stage. Made their customary hit. It seems strange to me that they do not add to the value of their act by arranging it so that they can do it all in 1. I can see no reason why they should do so. Murphy, Nichols and Co. On at 3.43, open 3 min in 1, 17 min full stage, 25 min in all. From the way this afternoon's audience laughed, it seemed almost as though they had never seen "From Zaza to Uncle Tom". It was certainly a hilarious hit. Camill D'Arville. On at 4:05, 10 min, in 1. Was forced to take Miss D'Arvill this week, for we needed a name and an act in 1. I think, however, that this is the last time she will play this theatre at her present salary, for it is a cinch she is not worth it. Ia m sorry to say this, for she has always been a great favorite in Boston, and her name has been a drawing card. But I think it bad judgement to bring back any entertainer, no matter how strong a favorite he or she may have been, who comes in and falls down, for I find the public remembers a failure longer than it does a hit, particularly on the part of any one who is well known. 8 min. wait, to set House Boat. "A Night on a House Boat". On at 4.26, 26 min, full stage. This act did not run as smoothly as it should this afternoon, largely the fault of the working crew of the act, who did not seem to know how to set their own stuff. Their electrician was also apparently all at sea on his light cues. The athletic girl and the Englishman are both suffering with bad colds, which was a serious handicap to the vocal part of the act. I think this is the best thing that Lucky has ever given us. Like all of his attractions, however, he has failed to develop the idea to hits fullest extent. This could be made one of the mos talked-of acts in vaudeville, and would be good for two or three seasons; but it still seems to have the same[[?]] unfinished air it had the first time I saw it, about a month ago. i think it would pay Lasky[[?]] to give his acts a little more of his personal attention after he has started them on the road. I have seen the same thing happen with several of his productions. Kintograph. On at 4.52, 18 min. "Midnight Ride of Paul Revere"; one of the best fake pictures I have ever seen. Got a lot of applause this afternoon. Will undoubtedly score throughout the week, on account of its great local interest. "My mother-in-law Is An Angel", very good comic picture. Much[[?]] International Trio. On at 5.10, 13 min, full stage; 3 shows. This act has improved considerably since it was here last season and is now on excellent offering, particularly at the money. Good enough for an early spot on any bill.
