Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of November 25, 1907. (Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr.) The show this week is an exceptionally good one, certainly as good as any we have had this season. Leo St. Elmo. Dutch comedy musical act. this man has a fair little turn which is all right for an unimportant spot. 15 min. in 1, 3 Shows. Elsie Harvey & Field Boys. Singing and dancing. A snappy lively act with three people who make quite a presentable appearance and give good satisfaction. 10 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. The Hurleys. In a small way this is the most valuable act that the smaller cities should get hold of, by all means. Man and woman in hand balancing and physical exercises, the woman doing the understanding. Gives excellent satisfaction. 10 Min. Full Stage, 3 Shows. Ed Gray. Story teller who has considerably new material and pleased. 15 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. Harry Corson Clarke. Sketch entitled "Strategy". While this is by no means a Great sketch and probably not worth what we are paying it, still it is not nearly as bad, by any means, as I had been led to believe. If not depended upon for too much will give satisfaction. 18 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Wise & Milton. Colored singing and talking act. Went very well indeed in a fairly important spot. Kept the audience interested for 20 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. Lalla Selbini. Another act in which I was agreeably disappointed. Miss Selbini is not a great artiste, but the novelty of the act and the clever comedy of the midget and the work of the Dog, all go to make it quite effective. Miss Selbini must be watched as to making remarks which border on vulgarity. It is best to cut her talking out entirely. 18 Min. Open Full Stage, 3 Min. close in 1, 2 Shows. Patsy Doyle. Monologuist, making up as a country boy. Has quite a bunch of very funny material which he gets away with in good style. Made something of a hit. 13 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Kratons. Well-known hoop rolling act which they have improved much in the last season by the addition of a little pantomime called "Hoopland." I don't consider it advisable to bill these people as colored as they have more the appearance of Cingalese and that together with their very neat makeup gives them a decided foreign flavor which I consider advantageous. 12 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Daisy Harcourt. English singing comedienne. From the standpoint of applause received Miss Harcourt was probably the hit of the show. 18 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Charlotte Parry & Co. Another excellent strong offering which was greatly appreciated by the audience. 31 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Raymond & Caverly. Dutch comedian who held their place much better than I expected they would. They have considerably new material and got the laughs all through the act. 20 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Novellos. Circus act which has been described before and which met all requirements and fulfilled all the good things that have been said of it before. A decidedly pretentious and effective act. 13 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Motion Pictures. O. K.
